Just a pleasant ride, not very long but with fun corners and no cops.
This section is more than a handful to keep up with the speed limits.
A pleasant run along Drammensfjord, some nice views, and several plasses to swim, if you have time.
A very little travelled route. It is practically not used,
as even the locals rarely travel between the two towns,
but rather towards Drammen or Oslo (and other routes are shorter).
In former days this was part of the Round the Tyri Fjord rally. Today it is mostly good for a sight-seeing tour of the South of the Fjord (which is really a lake). Can and should be combined with a round-the-lake itinerary.
The first part of this route goes up the Hanekleiv
hills from Sande.
It has lots of fun corners and was recently (2007) repaved,
so it is in good condition. From then you head
North towards Eikern lake.
At Eidsfoss Verk there is a very nice small shop and a good café / restaurant where it is well worth stopping. There is also a good community museum for the previous mill.
A small round trip in the Drammen area. Rural roads, mostly low speed limits but plenty of nice corners!
Very nice route, with lots of great scenery
(mountain lakes, valley gorges, waterfalls, etc).
You can stop in Dalen and stay at the historical hotel,
built in a Dragon/Fairytale-style www.dalenhotel.no.
