Curvy and hilly, great road if you like curves! Its does get bumpy in spots.
A nice longer cruise with good scenery, minimal traffic, minimal stop lights, nice good road conditions.
Minimal traffic and relatively few lights for this area - especially for the length of this ride, with a nice range of straights and curves, most roads are in good condition, and attractive sights along the way. Barre and Petersham center are good stopping points. The Winsor Dam, Quabbin Tower, Enfield Lookout and Goodnow Dyke (all on one loop at the South end of the Quabbin Reservoir, off Route 9 between Belchertown and Ware) is well-worth the detour. Also, check out the Wachusett Reservoir Dam in Clinton near the start/finish of the ride - it was hand built over a hundred years ago.
A famous and much photographed section of the Mohawk Trail, used by the Indians of the Five Nations as a footpath The best part for me was between the Clark and Todd mountains.
