This is a very fast route that can be negotiated at very high speeds. however by doing so you will be missing some of spectacular views this road takes you through. with excellent asphalt and great sweepers get yourself into a pace and you will through some of the most amazing plains in the northern Negev. Try this route especially in winter or early spring and the colors will be exceptional.
The Izrael Valley is the agricultural center of Israel a wide and fertile valley that has been farmed for decades. This route takes you, after leaving Afula the center city of this valley up on the Gilboa range for a flight like view over this valley. The road is considered one of the best running through a forest with exceptional corners and view points. The continuation will be towards Bel Voir (Good View), an important well preserved crusader fortress overlooking the Jordan valley and "The Spices Route" that went through it. Our return to Afula will go round the tip of the sea of Galilee and up through the Yavniel Vally where looking back you will sea spectacular views of the Lake, before making the run back to the end of this ride.
This is a one way route when your going down to Eilat on a bike. Warning! - Do not attempt to do it the other way or you will be missing some of the most spectacular views you will ever encounter, coming down from the Eilat Granite massif, down into Eilat on the number 12 road, with the most spectacular views of desert mountains and a blue bay.
The road in and out from the Ramon Crater is a jem of riding the rest being very fast very desolated desert roads with good asphalt, if your not in any hurry try to leave early afternoon and run to Eilat to reach when the sun is already coming down to get some great pics of the red rocks.
This route begins and ends in a spot called \"little Switzerland\" On The Carmel Mountain. Starting the run down we take the 7212 an amazing twisty with sharp turns that if not for the spectacular view of the Haifa bay and port from every curve you would think to be part of an Alpine pass. We will circle right round the mountain running on th e 721 to 75 to 70 to 66 all fast straits with traffic and cops and then turn in to the 6953 again a specular twisty with great sweepers running through the forest. Up on top we will take a right to 672 left on to the 70 right on to the 4 through the Arab village Furadis, where we can stop for a great Humus or a more serious lunch at one of the local restaurants - Abu Ali just right of the entrance circle is recommended. Back on the 4 going North turn right on to the 721 for the final run back up onto the Carmel mountain.
This is one of our classics. A short speedy run. Starting at the Masmia Junction you find the 383 a sweeper heaven running to Azeqa Junction, After some great fast riding on the 35 north you find through the industrial zone of Beit Shemesh the road to Ness Harim. This road is amazingly curved and you get a good twenty minutes of top concentration with opportunity to scrape some metal off your pegs.(1. If you are touring don't miss the stalactite cave along this road, and 2. stop at the top at bikers cafe to meet many of the local bikers and have great coffee and breakfast.) Circle back to the 375 and then to the Lion road both fabulously fast and rewarding roads and then turn back to the 40 going north to finish back at Masmia Junction where there is gas and food.
