Fun, Decent Sized Ride
West Coast Trip
Here is a very nice road that follows right beside the Colorado River. Great scenery, almost deserted. Nice ups and downs and curves.
It is hard pack gravel that any bike can go down at any speed you want. I have done it on a sportbike and its like driving on pavement. Long as its not wet I suspect.
Runs through the Sierra Madre with some great views along the way. Closes for the cold season.
Runs between mountains on each shoulder, including some scenic passes. Bottom half is along a river for a bit emptying into a lake midway through, is a pretty good place to stop.
Pleasant ride through rolling hills. Simple scenery with trees and some ponds. Passes by a coal mine in case you're into industrial sites.
Scenic trip through the Currant Creek Pass. Views of the mountain-line and Dick's Peak.
Dynamic trail transitioning from forested hills to scenic cliffs overlooking the Eleven Mile Canyon Reserve.
Easy route through Mueller State Park, great views of both the forest and mountains.
Scenic mountain route with views of Pikes Peak.
Nice short route through the mountains.
First Found this Road in the Summer of 1980 thanks to a Gas Station Guy in Canon City sending me and my buddy to Cripple Creek ... I am sure he was messing with us hicks from Ohio, but we loved it and stayed for a couple of days....
Steeped in history, this scenic road cut from the hillside is surrounded by lush forest. Excellent riding but be on the lookout for some falling rocks.
Great combination of scenery and a selection of curves.
Narrow and quite blind, this is fun for a dualsport bike.
Pleasant environment, nice curves, decent surface and low traffic.
Curvy road with mostly easy corners and pleasant forest surroundings.
Sharp dropsand a couple of slow tight corners along an 800ft high ridge. Drop offs are dramatic, sometimes on both sides, no oncoming traffic thanks to it being one way. Good fun.
Not a corner packed road, but a great motorcycling experience. Dramatic scenes and a beautiful backdrop.
Lots of forest! Very nice road with decent curves and combinations.
Spectacular gravel trail. Views to die for
A mixed road with a nice pass in the middle. Some nice curves up there!
Independence Pass. Elevation of 3686 m./12,095 ft. Can still be closed early spring or fall. Narrow lanes. No long vehicles permitted. Great experience. Do it!
