wicked
The superslap portions of the route are what they are, but the mountain roads portion of this route is fantastic.
Two major sections of mountains and twisties.
Beautiful scenery in the mountains.
NOT good to go any later in the winter season than about November as roads up at 5000 feet elevation will ice up and snow, but other times of the year, it's a long but great ride to a desert resort area.
General ride.
Vegas from palm desert
Great short day ride with fun curves, great views, and little towns

I love this route. I take it everyday on the bike. 90% of the corners are blind and very twisty. First time you go through take it kinda slow that way you can get to know the route. I have never seen a cop up there so after your first time through have fun. if you see a blue Yamaha ensure to wave. stay safe and OORAH.
Cruise some of old Hwy 80. Climb some mountains. Get back close to old Mexico. Come back around.
A quick SD backcountry ride up into the mountains. Stop at Barona for breakfast and pie in Julian. Don't forget Dudley's! Enjoy the day and some lightly traveled rural roads. Watch out for weekend crazies.
from Lakeside to the Kilt.
short
santee to romona
Nice ride up the technical side of Julian and down into lakeside trough wildcat canyon. Don't forget to stop for pie in Julian or even at the casino on the way down. Watch out for drivers crossing into your lane there is an average or 3 major motorcycle crashes a weekend up here.
Slab it out the 91 East to 15 South, then take scenic ride along the Lake to Ortega Hwy. Don't forget to check Hell's Kitchen on the way. Take the 5 home from there.
Great ride with many turns that require concentration, very nice.
