A good variation of roads, some twisty bits & some great open roads over the North Yorkshire moors. Plenty of great scenery throughout. Approximately 105 miles in one direction only. There's plenty enough of interest to turn round & head back over the exact same route to the start point & not be bored in the slightest. Helmsley is beautiful & well worth stopping at. Whitby is stunning (I've yet to explore properly!) Sutton Bank is a challenge & requires concentration. Ideal for a full Sunday afternoon of riding............or, why not stop off in Whitby for a day or two befopre heading back.
mainly rural roads with plenty of bends, watch out for sheep on roads.
Ride through Yorkshire Dales through Dales Park to Hawes. On through Buttertubs And over Moors to Leyburn. Back through Hawes and over to Ribblehead Viaduct. Settle on way home. Brilliant ride
