bellissimo itinerario provato in primavera ed estate.
Very twisty little excursion from the 103 if you havent seen enough corners already!
Mixed road with industrial parts and scenic rural landscapes. Many nice corners and mostly good surface, the section around Stigliano was a personal favourite.
Very nice mountain route that climbs to about 1000m with many nice curves
There are so many sharp corners on this mostly well surfaced rural road that you really shouldve scraped something by the end! Great endless corners.
Lovely deserted road into the park with many nice corners.
Lovely, twisting provincial road running south from Potenza
Nice scenic and twisty break from the highway.
Leaving Potenza, this low mountain road twists and turns through the coutryside and along a river.
Beautiful low mountain road near the coast in the national park.
Small and spectacular road that rises to nearly 2900m, one the highest roads I have ever ridden!
A awesome ride with amazing scenery, lots of small villages, cafes, bars and Parma at the end. Really very highly recommended...
A mix of everything from cobblestone to nice asphalt. Leaving Gallipoli is a mix of low rock and beaches. Climbing and getting twist as you go South, From the bottom back up the East coast is beautiful cliffs and winding roads.
Nice scenery and good roads
Not a very well-known pass but its a beauty. Great tarmac and good visibilty make this pass to one where you can really open the trottle if you get the chance. In the beginning it is pretty straight forward but pretty fast after the Italian border the sharp turns and switchbacks build up rapidly. When descending into Italy, you will arrive at a T-junction. If you want to be thrilled beyond believe go left (i.e. the direction which is forbidden for trucks and campers). You will find a steep descend into various blind corners in and out of tunnels on a narrow road. Not for the faint-hearted or mountain-newbies, but a challenge for the advanced riders.
When arriving in Chiavenna, follow the SS37 back into Switzerland to the Maloja-pass and Julier-pass: both open and insanely fast.
Oulx to Fenestrelle - really nice mountain roads just a really good ride cruising or blitzing. At Fenestrelle there is an amazing castle really worth a look.
S7 from Potenza to Matera, via Tricarico and Grassana. It follows the Roman Appian Way. One of the most enjoyable and scenic routes in the area. Its a bit difficult to find coming out of Potenza so take the main autovia the 407 and then follow signs for Tricorico. Matera is a very attractive town and well worth a visit.
Right then the roads are right from Genzano on the 169 towards Oppido Lucano. From Oppido head east on the 96bis towards Altamura. From altamura take the 99 south to Matera. In Matera enjoy the fantastic scenery (It's where they filmed Mel Gibson's "The Passion of Christ") and make sure you visit the Sassi (caves).
